Yesterday the Denver Post reported that Jose Theodore underwent knee surgery and will miss the start of training camp. It's unfortunate for Theodore as missing training camp is always hard on a player and it takes them some time to get back into the groove. But as it stands now, it looks like Budaj should be the clearcut #1 out of training camp. Theodore will have his work cut out for him if he wants to be the starter again.

Is Wall next on the depth chart if Theo can't dress up in his ball cap for the start of the season?
I believe Weiman is regarded as a bit better than Wall. But with the Avs goaltending prospects, that's unfortunately not saying too much at the moment. There's still some work to be done in the cage at all levels for this team.
With any luck Budaj will be stellar out of the gate and it won't matter who plays backup.
One can hope.
